Having "tinkered" in the Windows environment for so long I finally got around to using Ubuntu for the first time today. It has sat, dormant and tidying partitioned for the best part of 3 months.

It seems tidy so far- and very quick - but that is surely beginners luck!?

The only problem so far was its refusal to pick up my wireless network - so I'm resorting to good old fashioned ethernet cable until I can be bothered to google that query to death.

However, my interest lies in what I can produce, artistically in what is a different environment, with unfamiliar programs etc. We will see where it goes...
